NSS unit of Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar has collaborated with the HMV Driver Training Institute, Chhatia. Following the philosophy of the “Art of Giving” initiated by our Founder, Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, under his leadership a free dental screening camp was organized on 06.06.2024, at the driver training institute. On the occasion of the World No Tobacco Day, a total of 200 patients were screened and referred to a tertiary institute for further complex treatment procedures. NSS unit, Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar has collaborated with the HMV Driver Training Institute, Chhatia. Following the philosophy of the “Art of Giving” initiated by our Founder, Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, a free dental screening and treatment camp was organized on 28.04.2024, as per the regular dental checkup camps to be conducted at the driver training institute. Basic dental treatments like scaling and restorations were carried out among 247 screened patients in the mobile dental van and some of them were referred to the tertiary institute for further complex treatment procedures. Following the philosophy of the “Art of Giving” initiated by our Founder, Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, under his leadership, a Dental Check-up camp organized by Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar at Sri Sathya Sai Annadam School, Daruthenga, Bhubaneswar, on 16.03.2024 to observe the “Oral Health Month 2024”. The screened patients mostly were diagnosed with early childhood caries, grossly decayed teeth, dental caries, stains, and calculus deposits. A total of 118 pediatric patients were screened. The camp conducted was planned to provide free consultations and required treatment plans. Those requiring treatment were directed to the tertiary institute for further procedures. [...]

The camp was conducted in association with Swabhiman (State Disability Information and Resource Centre). It is a registered non-profit and Odisha’s first cross disability organization.
