Under the leadership of our Founder, Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta Sir, following his philosophy the “Art of Giving”, an initiative was led by Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi [Director (Administration)] and  Principal, Dr. Aswini Kumar Kar. A free dental check-up camp was organized at Kalabhoomi Odisha Crafts Museum, Gandamunda, Pokhariput, Bhubaneswar. The Department of Public Health Dentistry of Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar has collaborated with the HMV Driver Training Institute, Chhatia. Following the philosophy of the “Art of Giving” initiated by our Founder, Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, under his leadership, this initiative was led by Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi [Director (Administration)] and, Principal Dr. Aswini Kumar Kar. a free dental screening and treatment camp was organized on 18.11.2023, as per the regular dental checkup camps to be conducted at the driver training institute. Following the philosophy of the “Art of Giving” initiated by our Founder, Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta sir, under his leadership & under the guidance of Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi [Director (Administration)] and, Principal Dr. Aswini Kumar Kar a free dental Check-up camp was organized by Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar at Tech Mahindra, Bhubaneswar on 17.11.2023. On the occasion of the National Service Scheme (NSS) week celebration, the NSS unit of the Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University organized a symposium on the topic "Know your Social Responsibilities" The event was addressed by Dr. Darshan Panda, Senior Scientist, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack, Odisha.  and a brief lecture was delivered by Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh,  Program officer, NSS KIDS. Volunteers of NSS, Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences attended the event along with faculty members of the School & other NSS Program officers of KIIT University. With the blessing of Lord Shree Jagannath  & Following the philosophy of the “Art of Giving” initiated by our Honorable Founder, Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, and Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Deputy Director (Admin.), KIDS,  a free dental treatment camp and toothpaste sample distribution was conducted for Sevayats of Shree Jagannath Temple, Puri organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University under the supervision of Dr.Gunjan Kumar (faculty), Dr.Shiba Behera (faculty), postgraduates Dr.Samikshya, Dr.Yagnaseni, Dr.Aseema,  interns and paramedics on 19.09.2022. Dental extractions, restorations, and oral prophylaxis were carried out among 153 patients in the mobile dental van and portable dental chair followed by the distribution of medications among the people.

Following on footnotes of our beloved founder sir Dr. (Prof). ACHYUTA SAMANTA sir, Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences launches a Philanthropic initiative KIDSSS EXPRESS. The prime objectives of KIDSSS EXPRESS are: 1. To deliver smiles for special children & underprivileged children across various parts of Odisha. 2. Spiking the confidence levels of Interns and Postgraduates in treatment of special children by constant exposure and gaining experience through these camps. 3. Spreading the oral hygiene awareness amongst the parents and caretakers of these children and counselling them on their will. KIDS Organised free dental treatment camp at Sunamuhun, Brahmagiri, Puri. Following the philosophy of the “Art of Giving” initiated by our honorable Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, & under the very able guidance of Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director (Admin.) , KIDS,  a free dental treatment camp was organized at Sunamuhin, Brahmagiri ,Puri  by Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University under the supervision of faculty member Dr.Gunjan Kumar,  Dr.Alok Kumar Sethi, postgraduates Dr.Samikshya, Dr.Yagnaseni, Dr.Anushka and interns on 10.06.2022. Dental extractions, restorations and oral prophylaxis were carried out among 108 patients in the mobile dental van followed by the distribution of free medications among the people.

Following the ideology “Art of Giving” propounded by Hon’ble Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Doctors from KIDS, Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh & Dr. Sangamesh N.C. under the leadership of  Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director (Administration), Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences,  has started distributing cooked food to stray animals in and around the city of Bhubaneswar. So far, they have served around 300 stray animals and are continuing it every week.
