Following the philosophy of the “Art of Giving” initiated by our Founder, Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, under his leadership, a Health Check-up camp organized by Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar at Municipal Kalyan Mandap, Kalapada, Cuttack, on 9.03.2024. Under the leadership of our respected Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi [Director (Administration)] and our respected Principal Dr. Aswini Kumar Kar, the dental screening was conducted by the Department of Public Health Dentistry in collaboration with the Department of Periodontology and Oral Implantology of Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences on 9.03.2024.
The screened patients mostly were diagnosed with early childhood caries, grossly decayed teeth, stains, and calculus deposits. A total of 86 pediatric patients were screened. The camp conducted was planned to provide free consultations and required treatment plans. hose requiring treatment was directed to the tertiary institute for further procedures. Treatment done: Restoration -34 Following the consultations, toothpaste and mouthwash were distributed free of charge, accompanied by education on preventive measures against tooth decay and gum diseases, proper brushing techniques, and the importance of maintaining oral hygiene and adopting healthy oral care habits.
