Sonali Perti

Dr. Sonali perti completed her Bachelors of Dental surgery (BDS) from Himachal Dental college, Sundernagar in 2001.After completion of her BDS she worked as Tutor in the Department of Conservative Dentistry, Institute of Dental Studies & Technologies (IDST), Modinager, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh for one and half year. Along with clinical experience she gained during this period she prepared for PG All India entrance examination and succeeded in attaining a good rank and joined post graduation in 2005. She completed her Master in Dental Surgery (Prosthodontics) in 2008 from Rural Dental College, Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni, Maharashtra scoring a third rank in the university. She joined Department of Prosthodontics, I.T.S Centre of Dental Studies and Research, Muradnagar, Ghaziabad, U.P. as Senior Lecturer and began her academic career in 2008. In 2010 she shifted to Bhubaneswar and joined Gandhi Dental College, Khurda, Bhubaneswar and continued to work as senior lecturer for two years. She got prompted to the post of Reader in 2012 and joined the prestigious Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, KIIT deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar. She is currently holding the post of Professor in the Department. Her areas of interest included esthetic dentistry and dental material science. She has several publications and scientific presentations to her credit. She has chaired many scientific sessions at various conferences. She has also been appointed as external examiner by various other universities. She has been the Editor of Indian Prosthodontic Society Odisha branch and has also released the first Newsletter of the branch titled “The Crown” in her editorial tenure. Apart from being dedicated to dental education, she has also being a volunteer helper for Muskaan, a vocational training centre for children and adults with intellectual disability (ID) at New Delhi. She has also been appointed as parent member in school committee of Sikshadaan International School, Bhubnanewar. She believes that good education is a foundation for a better future.
