Oral health plays a vital role in the overall health and wellbeing of the individual. With the objective of helping people access oral health and hygiene facilities, NSS wing of Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University organized a free dental check-up and oral health awareness camp at Basundhara Orphanage & rehabilitation centre , CRRI Cuttack Odisha.

A team of Senior doctors; Dr. Md. Jalaluddin, Dr. Sangamesh NC Dr. Arpita Singh with PG students and Inters, under the very able guidance of Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh, NSS programme officer, KIDS, carried out the comprehensive dental health checkups of underprivileged children and provided free tooth paste & tooth brush samples & free medicine to more than 200 children and staff members of Basundhara.

The Basundhara Director, Mrs. Saila Behera thanked Prof. Achyuta Samanta, founder, KIIT & KISS, & Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director(Admin.), KIDS for their humanitarian service to the underprivileged people as “Art of Giving” and also for rendering moral and selfless service to the orphan children of Basundhara.
