On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, a health education and child rights awareness programme and  Dental screening camp was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS), KIIT Deemed to be University in association with ICPA, on 10th December 2021 at holistic education of children with disabilities and holistic employment of youth with disabilities in Government UP School, BJB Nagar, Bhubaneswar which is named as as an Inclusive Child Resource Centre under the State Disability Information and Resource Center (Swabhiman).

A team of 10 members from KIDS conducted the programme. The faculties‑incharge were Dr. Gunjan Kumar and Phd scholar Dr. Arpita Singh, PGs‑Dr.Samikshya Jena and Dr. Yagnaseni Mandal, Interns and paramedical staffs‑ Mr.Prahalad an  Miss Mukta. An audio‑visual presentation was given to explain the children, guardians and trainers about basic child rights in which the four child rights which included Right to Live, Right to Protection, Right to Development and Right to Participation were explained. It was followed by a Oral screening camp and distribution of notebooks and crayons.
