Following the philosophy of the “Art of Giving” initiated by our Founder, Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, under his leadership, a Mega Health Check-up camp was organised by NSS unit Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar at Dharmasala Mahotshava Ground, Jaraka, Jajpur district on 28.09.2024.
The screened patients were mostly diagnosed with chronic generalized periodontitis and grossly decayed teeth. These diagnoses highlight the widespread prevalence of periodontal disease and untreated dental caries in the community, likely exacerbated by inadequate oral hygiene practices and limited access to regular dental care. The camp benefitted the patients with free consultations and free medicines.
All patients were educated and advised about proper oral hygiene maintenance.
